Governor-Elect's Page

To the Members of Southern Region:
It is my pleasure to serve as the Southern Region 2008-2010 Governor-Elect. These two years of service will give me the time and opportunity to get to know more about the members of the region and prepare me to lead in 2010.
This summer I attended two days of leadership training in Chicago that was sponsored by Soroptimist International of the Americas. Included were sessions on creativity and innovation, strategic thinking and vision, problem solving and team building, and many more. All sessions were accomplished with groups of women from different countries speaking different languages. What a great way to experience Soroptimism, learn new leadership skills, and share with women from around the world.
While I enjoy my last few months as Governor-Elect I look forward to when it is my turn to lead the Southern Region. I am looking for smart, dedicated, and passionate women to help me carry out the work of the region. I hope if any of you have a passion for a particular area of Soroptimist you will contact me so we can use your talents on a region level.
If you are a visitor to our website and are interested in hearing more about Soroptimists and our work, please contact us. We would love to tell you about our mission and what we do.
Our region’s success rests with each individual club doing work for the women and girls in their communities, and I thank each of you for contributing to that success.
Priscilla Tatarsky
Southern Region Governor-Elect
2008-2010
