Governor-Elect's Page
To the Members of Southern Region:
The 2010-2012 biennium has begun and I hope you share my enthusiasm as we begin our journey together! It is a great honor for me to serve as your Southern Region Governor-Elect. You have placed your faith and trust in me by electing me to this position and I will do everything within my power to do the very best job I can possibly do for you.
A new biennium not only brings a change of leadership to Southern Region, it also brings new leadership to our local clubs. And as with all things new, change is inevitable. Change can be viewed as a negative force, but in this case, change should be viewed as positive as we see new and excited club leaders begin their journey into the next two years.
As my first assignment as Governor-Elect, Governor Priscilla has asked me to focus on Leadership Development. I look forward to this challenge and plan to provide leadership insights, tips and training throughout the biennium for you and your clubs. Hopefully, this will aid and equip our current leadership with the tools they need to be at their best. But equally as important, we need to inspire and prepare others to step up and become leaders for the future.
For the next two years, I will be listening and learning about all things related to Southern Region to prepare for the next biennium. I am interested in hearing your ideas about projects, fundraisers, your successes, and, yes, even your failures. We can learn so much from each other and sharing those experiences is just the beginning.
I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful organization along with all of you talented, amazing women of Southern Region! You are an integral, driving force of the Southern Region, your club and your community. Keep up the great work you are doing!
I look forward to working with you during this biennium. Remember, I am only a phone call away.
Pat McCay
Southern Region Governor-Elect
2010-2012
